I recently noticed worn parts on my Lifetime box. I took a few pictures and wrote to ask about how to order replacement parts and received an email back showing the order date for the various parts. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Response times were very reasonable as well.
Outdoor storage box

Luckily my cousin was visiting from Geneva so, he quickly assembled this beast. took him 20 minutes - the hinges were perhaps the most challenging but, no biggie.I have yet to see how waterproof this box is because I only just got it and really cannot leave a fair review without at least one year going by to test it so, alas, I shall wait one year.
Cover warped after 1 week

For folks who are satisfied with this box, they must not leave it under direct sunlight. I live in Southen California. I assembled it, left it out on the side of the house (so it was actually partially shaded during the day) for 1 week, the top cover began to warp under the sun. After 2 weeks, the top cover is completely warped. I can't close it anymore, and there is about a 3 inch gap on one side. Will be returning it via FedEX pickup through walmart.com. There is no way this product should be marketed for outdoor use. I can see if folks keep under shade all day, maybe it will be ok.

We bought our Outdoor Storage Deck Box to store wood for our outdoor fire pit. It arrived in good condition. We were able to easily assemble it with 2 people. The instructions were easy to follow. It is working perfectly.

This is a Great quality very large storage bin for outdoor patios. We thoroughly enjoy this hefty storage bin. However, we found that it was not as easy to construct as many reviews had indicated; It definitely takes two people to put this together. Having said all that, it is Not extremely complicated/confusing to build either. Highly recommend this outdoor storage bin.
American made?

Are you sure this is American-made? Although I love my deck box now that it's assembled and in in my backyard, it was very frustrating to assemble the lid hinges and fasten them to the box. Although the video made it look easy. It was not. I feel like there should have been a right and a left hinge. Because they were the same, one side did not fit flush against the deck box, making fastening the bolt and center nut almost impossible. But I persevered. I got longer bolts, re-drilled the hole in the box, in order to put in all four Bolts and centernuts! Dear Lifetime, please reevaluate the hinge situation. It would avoid a lot of your customers feeling frustrated. I would love to purchase more Lifetime products but I am hesitant due to the difficulty of the assembly.

Happy with purchase. It was easy to assemble with an impact wrench, but I would take caution to not over tighten anything. I put the lid down on my concrete deck while I was assembling the body and it got lightly scratched.

This box is perfect! I live in a condo and needed somewhere to store my Christmas tree, lights and decorations. It holds all of it and looks great. It is strong enough for 2 adults to sit on and was easy to put together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Totally love this large storage box and its made in USA. I brought it to store my gardening stuff. I'm not too good with putting pieces together. It took me about 2 hrs. to assemble it. Now I have my bags of soil , plant food , large buckets, flower pots, etc. I still have plenty of room left and now I have to find more stuff to put in it I'm very happy with this product. If I ever need another large storage box I would definitely reorder another one.

1. the instructions stink.2. follow the pictures and set out the fasteners in advance. 3. actual assembly is really easy once you realize the pictures are the assembly guide. We aren't small and both of us can sit on it with no problems. We use it for often used garden equipment including edge trimmer / blower and 5 gallon gas tank for our mower. Come cold weather the garden gear goes into our shed and the deck box will store our outdoor furniture cushions with no problems.

Was fairly easy to put together and seems sturdy and rigid; does the job. Top lid stays open when you need it.Btw, about a year ago I bought a competitor's deck box. Put it together and when trying to move it, it fell apart - very flimsy. I returned it.I like this item and would recommend.

These are great storage containers. I have 2 of them around my pool for storage of pool supplies and my chair cushions. They are weather and water tight for outside use.

The unique design (quite smart), plastic quality/stiffness (a BIG plus), bug security, and extreme ease of assembly beats all the other deck boxes, hands down. The few included screws all hit home and tighten very solidly, adding further to the stiffness of the entire assembly. On top of this, the Lifetime box has TWO gas lift cylinders, which few (if any) others have. When the lid is closed, it snaps shut....and opening is literally a reverse snap. This is one high quality deck box! I'm using mine in my back yard to hold my Mantis tiller, handheld gas blower, two BBQ cylinders, two bug zappers, and a fold-up wagon (from Costco)....and it still has just enough room for all my patio furniture covers (which is why I bought it in the first place). I've had previous Rubbermaid deck boxes, and inspected the latest Suncast and Keter, but was pleasantly surprised that none have the robustness of this Lifetime box. A great find!!
Flip it on its side - perfect Golf Club closet!

Arrived yesterday and is perfect! Very roomy and holds 2 sets of golf clubs plus other stuff. We needed this for our balcony in downtown Chicago for extra storage. Was just a little tight to fit across the end where we wanted it and my husband had the BRILLIANT idea to make it a "closet" - SO great! See pictures.

Needing to add storage for an expanding roof deck created during the pandemic to find some precious outdoor space in the city, we added a second one of these large storage containers after being happy with how well the first one performed after almost a year totally exposed to the elements from the broiling summer sun to the freezing, windy, snowy nights. Fairly easy assembly. This is the second one that I got for my shooting range to hold different types of targets and equipment. Plenty of room, and, in my case, good for sorting AR500 and action targets from paper and plinking targets with other items. These are kept in a wooded area in all sorts of weather, including surviving harsh winters.

So far so good. Bought two. First took two hours to put together, the second 45 minutes. The hardest part was the screws on the hinge, not a lot of room to work. If there is a fail point that will be it. It doesn't grasp on a lot of material. I really like these otherwise. Thick cushions for 6 chairs fit nicely plus a few more thin cushions along edges. Underneath all is a lounge chair cushion. They're not so deep you have to go digging. The second will be used for umbrella, gravity chair, hammock etc. I bought these as they seemed tight. I don't think mice will get in which is the big problem. Torrential storms this weekend and everything is dry.
