I was able to acquire a small batch of older Varez prints from the 80's. Some in this batch may have small imperfections, these are being sold "as is". Please see picture!
This is a print called " Pele's Dream of Lohiau " " it's a hand pulled block print by Hawaii artist Dietrich Varez. It is hand signed and dated by him. Dietrich passed away in 2018.
"Before Pele met her lover, Lohiau, she had a dream of him. Later, in a fit of jealous rage, she destroyed the handsome Lohiau by covering him with her burning lava."
Size of the paper is approx. 12" by 18". It comes presented on foam core in a clear protective bag but is removable for custom framing.
Any glare on the prints are from the Gallery lights reflecting off the protective clear bag.
