    Maker and marks
    : This sophisticated rimmed soup bowl has the green underglaze mark of Germany's renowned maker Nymphenburg, with the
    green attribution "Western Germany". This mark was in use from 1949 to 1975.
    The
    Nymphenburg
    factory has been producing exquisite luxury porcelain wares since its founding in the city of
    Nymphenburg
    in 1761.
    Design
    : An expression of subtle elegance, the pattern - called Adonis - features a wide grey verge surrounded by white ribbing and trimmed in gold.
    Size
    : The soup bowl is 9 1/8 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep. It weighs 14 ounces.
