I am not into a complete rebuild of your 2-XL but if it's important to you it's important to me. If you think your unit will take more than a routine servicing you are welcome to message me on Ebay for an estimate that I stand behind. My advise is free! I will work on the Mego 2-XL type 1 and type 2 8 track player. I will consider also fixing the Tiger 2-XL Interactive Electronic Cassette units from the 90's. This auction price covers my services and a .00 mailing credit to return the unit to you. If it will cost more than .00 to return your unit you will need to cover the extra shipping cost. In most cases the cost to ship back is under .00. You are responsible to pay the cost of shipping your 2-XL to me. My service and repairs are guaranteed for 30 days. If you have a problem within that time I offer a free repair. No refunds and you are responsible to pay for shipping the unit back to me.  I can make your 2-xl look as good as the day it came out of the factory. I will do what I can to make your 2-XL look on the outside as good as I make it work on the inside. I have learned some tricks of the trade to really brighten up your unit. In some cases I have made these 2-xl's look like they just came out of the box. I also have reproduction 2-XL labels for the forehead, buttons, on/off knob and inspection sticker for the bottom. I also have reproduction labels for the power supply. I sell these decals on Ebay under item number  361041540341 but will give them to you for half price with this auction if requested. I would have to create an email listing for any labels or parts you would need. I will not make change anything on the outside other than cleaning of your 2-xl unless you ask me to. I understand many people want their 2-XL's to look like they did as a child and any alterations that have been made will remain permanent unless you want me to restore it. I will definitely ask you first before changing any look or damage your use to. Please don't tape any notes to your unit. I had a customer tape a note using scotch tape to the 2-xl's forehead label and the tape ruined the decal so please do not tape anything to your unit. This price covers my labor only any parts if needed would be extra. I am very reasonable with parts prices. Most all the time a part will only cost .00. I should charge more than that but as you can see I have a stock pile of used parts I have been collecting for years. Only send the 2-xl unit, no power cords or tapes etc. I have plenty of original power cords and tapes here so just put them in a safe place while your unit is being serviced. If your unit is found to be in need of extensive repair other than servicing and cleaning we can negotiate price. I will give my opinion upon examination if needed. In most cases I can repair the unit within the cost of this auction. Please pack your unit safely using plenty of packing so it is not damaged during shipping.
